Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

proaudiodesign.com Is not related to this forum

Post by gyraf »

Dear Forum,

Are you guys perchance related to the proaudiodesign.com website? Or is it completely unrelated - I don't see any cross references from/to here? Anyone of you knows if that dealer is legit (I think it is, but I don't know for sure)?

Reason for asking is

1) that site spells my brand name "Gyraf" kinda wrong - as "Gryaf" - I'd like to perhaps have that corrected if possible and

2) there's another site, a clear scam site, that copies all content from proaudiodesign.com incl. spell errs - https://proaudiodesignbuy.shop/ (and I am in a position to know that they do not have the hardware they claim to sell, at very low prices)

Feel free to delete this post if Mrs. Peabody disapproves

All the best,

Jakob Erland

Jakob it's Wayne Kirkwood. We know each other online well.
My store is: https://ka-electronics.com/shop/

The short answer is no, this site has no relation to proaudiodesign.com at all.

IIRC at one time that site was part of a dealership that was in the Boston area. I haven't been to it in years and will visit to see what has come of it and report back when I am able. Having some health issues at the moment which may from time-to-time delay a response.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Update:

This is what I found on their contact page:

Yes, Pro Audio Design is a somehow famous and big audio supplier. I used to know a guy who worked there. I guess you can send them an email if you like.

Was that David Blackmer's son Michael?

I seem to recall him working there. I met Michael at Blue Jay Recording in Carlisle and we became friends.
I commissioned their SSL.
Later on Michael's and "Pinky's" home was the Boston receive site for my pre-internet dial-up broadcast monitoring service.
I really liked the Bedford Mass area.

No, the guy I used to know was a salesman who left and started his own company. He used to tell me that Pro Audio Design (or PAD as he used to call it) was massive.
