KA Electronics - physical ability to fill orders restored!

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

In this case the test for both is an emg which will be scheduled outpatient. The myasthenia Gravis symptoms seem to be reversing in the same order as they progressed.

Thanks to everyone for your concerns.

Managing the Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) pharmacologically. Tolerating meds OK.

Myasthenia gravis seems to be getting better with symptoms in gradual remission.
Able to do some household chores.
However it comes and goes with fatigue.

My wife, a little older at 71, and I are each other's hands and legs.

My Wolff Parkinson White cardiac issues are being managed well.

Myasthenia Gravis is improving significantly but comes and goes.

Vitamin D is key. Today I intend to sunbathe and make D naturally.

Saw my neurologist yesterday and am happy to report that we will be treating myasthenia gravis pharmacologically. No EMG ordered.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myasthenia_gravis

She prescribed two meds the first of which I received is a common steroid.

After the first dose I'm consistently able to get myself out of bed without difficulty. Prior to this I had intermittent loss of arm strength.

I feel like (and think) that I'm now able to fill board orders at the KA-electroncs storefront.

The root causes of MG remain a medical mystery. It is an auto-immune disorder and sometimes an immune response which resolves. I honestly think that the MG symptoms for me began with a "tiger" mosquito bite I received in early August. The near-immediate response to the bite was unlike any mosquito bite I've had in my entire life. When it occurred that inner voice, a minute or two later, clicked on the talkback/IFB and said: "Mosquito bites can be life-changing." Although there is no medical evidence in my tests to support normal mosquito-borne illness these guys are GMO mosquitos being released on purpose in Texas, Florida and elsewhere.

Cardiac issues manged - check.
Myasthenia gravis managed - check.
Good to go.

A quick update with very positive news.

First some anecdotal evidence about a possible cause of myasthenia gravis. Although this indeed anecdotal my wife was discussing MG with her hairdresser who has a lot of clients and information for just about anything. One of her clients had MG and saw a holistic practioner. Bloodwork showed contamination from jet fuel. She lived near an airport...

Through some type of therapy, possibly chelation, she was completely cured. Hmm.

I have an airport almost directly due south and the winds are predominately from the south here. My home is located 3500 feet from the threshold of runway 17. We do have a mixture of piston-powered aircraft, which still use leaded fuel, and executive jets. Sometimes they do static engine tests and as I open the back door I smell kerosene. Otherwise I don't smell it.

Jet fuel is often contaminated with metal due to storage and transport and some jet fuel, mostly military, has metal added to increase combustability. I have a metal blood panel due soon which is screening for occupationally common metals such as lead, cadmium etc. Living in the home I grew up in I've had lots of exposure to this airport and its never been an issue. I may have bio-accumulated a lot and maybe not. We'll see.

The treatment protocol I'm on, which is working fantastically, are steroids and a med to reduce Acetylcholine Binding antibodies.

My Acetylcholine Binding antibody on August 30th measured 131 nmol/L. The normal range is 0 to 0.4 nmol/L. Off the charts.

I saw the neurologist on Tuesday and was able to fill the steroid Rx which produced some significant improvement. The second med was delayed due to insurance preauthorization and inability of the pharmacy to deliver until Thursday because it requires compounding. After the first dose the change in how I felt was unbelievable.

The treatment protocol is working very, very well. All for now.

At this point there's no reason I can't ship orders from the KA Store.

It's been several days since I've updated my steadily-improving condition and things are going very, very well.
The medications mild side effects seem to be waning but I do feel it as they run out near the end of a dose as the blood serum level of the meds drops.
Perhaps this was all just a means to finally hire a lawn service LOL.

We have several Amazon Fire tablets and the alarm function, to alert me to take meds, has been very useful.
In the description of the alarm I put the drug name and dose for the day.
The 06:00 alarm has the most at 4 different meds.
Going from someone who doesn't take pills for anything - the last was 2015 for some dental work - I have now become a pill-popper.
I think the daily count is around 9/day.
I may be on most of them for the rest of my life.
I'm hoping some will taper and if I can find the root cause not have to require them for the myasthenia gravis.

Sales during the summer were somewhat slow, which is kinda typical, and the fact that they were slow in late August and early September may have been a blessing in disguise. In the last 2-3 days that all changed with several large easy-to-fill orders.
It's a good thing I had assembled boards pre-built.
To those that have recently ordered - and all of my past customers - thank you for your support.

I am truly blessed.

Had an in-clinic follow-up with the Electrophysical Cardiologist-Ham Radio Operator today.

Nurse did a 12 lead EKG and I asked to see the strip, read it and could tell it was perfectly normal. No delta wave indicative of WPW-SVT pre-excitation. Dr. agreed, meds working and tolerated next appointment 3 months out.
Found a paper on a 72-year old who had sudden onset WPW late in life that I gave him.
WPW is normally a rare birth defect; late stage WPW is about one in a hundred of the congenital subset. Technically I have WPW syndrome, not WPW.
He wants my 12AX7s, 12AT7s, 6L6s - audio tubes for his ham rigs.

Myasthenia gravis is improving but arms do fatigue if used for long periods of time.
Recovery is fairly quick but I do have to take it easy on them or it will progress into a more serious presentation.
My steroid meds are scheduled to be increased (up-titrated) tomorrow so that should help.
Looking forward to my next blood draw to check acetylcholine binding antibodies and MUSK levels.
They were at 131 nmol/L on August 31 - they should be 0 to 0.4.

Glad to read your symptoms seem to be easing .

It was quite a while back now but i did take a look at the subject of jet fuels ,lubricants and cabin air supply , the makers keep their additive mix a closely guarded secret , using the right mix of dirty stuff has been shown to greatly increase reliabillity and reduce service interval ,
Back in the old days the the cabin air supply was harvested from inside the engine , this often led to contamination with trycresyl phosphate from the engine lubrication system , especially in older planes . In modern turbofan planes air is harvested differently ,
I know a guy who did aviation service for a while , he was tall and thin and he got tired of getting posted headlong into filthy crawl spaces by his work mates ,

Regarding insect bites , perhaps lymes disease could be worth screening for , its not very well understood by medical people in this country ,and often goes undiagnosed .
we dont have the facillity to genetically screen for it here , further east in Europe they do take it seriously , Germany appears to lead , if tick bite is even suspected the patient is treated with a simple course of antibiotics in advance and samples are then sent for analysis to make sure all is well .

Id heard about the GM moquitoes alright ,
G.O.F or weaponiseation , its a road paved with bones and the laws of unintended consequences .

I remain ever the sceptic regarding daily pills , I am biased and my health is good ,
Its common now for a doctor to order cholesterol tests for anyone over around 40 and recommend statins ,
I have one old neighbour who was always an avid walker and gardener , he was convinced he needed cholesterol meds by his GP , not long after he started to have muscle pains after he took his daily exercise or especially if he did any physical work in the garden etc ,
I heard about a study later pointing towards muscle damage in people who were more physically active after taking the statins .

I remember having a chat with my uncle about health a few years back , I told him I get the odd pain or twinge here or there and he laughed and said , yeah ,its called getting old . He had a near miss with diabeties around 20 years back , he stopped using coca-cola as a mixer with his rum , instead moved over to sparkling mineral water , blood sugars returned to normal and he's still going strong .
