Re: Cheap Surround sound buffer/level shifter

Well the computer has stopped disappearing my designs... Now I am remembering how nice it was to have junior engineers and technicians to finish my projects for me.. I don't mind doing the first channel layout, but need 5 more identical channels. The design issues are sorted, I contacted Hype...

Re: The Memory Hole Theater: Videos Banned by YouTube

I suggested several months ago that police body cam footage should be streamed live and/or published daily.

It obviously does not justify his death but nobody would do that on purpose with a body cam running.

Re: Cheap Surround sound buffer/level shifter

I had squirrels pop my personal transformer fuse before Katrina when I had my own transformer and drop. During Katrina I chased a squirrel out of my carport and up onto the cottonwood with the arcing high tension lines. Now I am sharing a transformer with multiple neighbors. I suspect a squirrel cou...

Re: Cheap Surround sound buffer/level shifter

Damn the dog ate my homework.... late last week while out cutting my rain ditch I heard the loud report of the fuse blowing on the power pole across the street... It sounds like a gun shot, but I didn't need electricity to cut grass.. Unfortunately my PCB/schematic design session evaporated when the...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

The house being two story was the greater challenge. My wife and I are not big stair-climbers anymore. I hadn't thought about it but I haven't lived in a house with stairs for 3 decades I looked at enclosing the carport which was do-able. I have gotten used to the open car port. You can also do a p...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

Seeing the 45 MPH sign makes me wish I were in a small town like Hickory. yup downtown, nowhere MS. Inside city (cough) limits. Dallas has begun to suck really, really bad. There is mass mental illness here in the form of TDS and covid-hysteria. I suspect the TDS is everywhere but probably wo...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

Hopefully you'll get some nice pecans. I was in a restaurant in Dennison Texas yesterday and they had 2 lb bags of whole shelled pecan halves for $12/lb. We already had a bunch in the freezer or I would have gotten some. seems early for this season... my pecans are just now forming I anticipate you...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

I have officially abandoned my franken slave mower (dragging a 22" mower along side the zero turn). The rear attachment angle iron apparently hit a tree and got twisted up. I didn't notice until after I finished the yard. My new ditch strategy is attach ropes to my DR trimmer and let gravity pull it...

Re: Cheap Surround sound buffer/level shifter

Sounds/looks similar to the Moog Ladder Filter concept: https://proaudiodesignforum.com/forum/php/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=148&p=1214 Similarity perhaps in number of transistor involved. Think 6 or 7 transistors with all the emitters connected together to same one node. Highest base steers current to i...
